What is a waste manager?
A person or organization, public or private, properly authorized to manage waste, even if it is not the one who produced the waste (According to Law 22/2011, about Waste)

Why should I hire a waste management?
Law 22/2011 on Waste (Art.17) defines the initial producer or other holder of waste, in order to ensure the proper treatment of waste is required to:
a) Do the waste treatment itself.
b) instruct the treatment of its waste to negotiate or to an organization or company, all of them registered under this Act.
c) Deliver waste to a public or private entity waste collection, including social economy organizations, for treatment.

How do I know if my waste is considered dangerous?
Are considered hazardous waste listed in the European Waste Catalogue, published in the Order MAM / 304/2002, as well as containers and packaging that have content.

Cardboard Pick-up in Shops

The City Council has a special cardboard fraction waste collection service for large generators of this waste.

- In the urban nucleus of the Polígono de Son Noguera, on Thursday mornings.

70/5000 - In urban centers of housing estates, on Tuesday mornings.

- In the urban center of S'Arenal, on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the morning.

The arranged collection at home of pruning and bulky waste is only for private users. Users must call the available telephones to arrange this collection and must remove the waste on the day and time indicated by the telephone service.

The waste must be removed the night before the day of collection, in front of the facade of the house where the collection service has been requested. They must be deposited with care, order and facilitating the passage of pedestrians.

The amounts established for each type of waste must be respected:

Pruning waste: 1 bag of up to 1m3, once every 15 days

44/5000 Bulky: 3 dishes, once every 15 days

The crass plant or palm tree is not accepted for home pruning. It will take at clean. In the case of having a palm tree infested by the Red Palm Weevil, you should contact the Our citizen service telephone number 971662966-971.120 883. Before setting the date and time of this special collection, a specialized technician must draw up a report for pest control.

In the urban nucleus of Llucmajor and S'Arenal, the pruning collection will be done in bundles or plastic bags NOT in bags, with an amount equivalent to 1 m3.

Green Parks

Within the municipality of Llucmajor there are three green parks:

- PARC VERD SA COSTA, situat al final del carrer d’Ossa Major de la Urbanització Badia Blava, cruella amb el Carrer Santa Catalina de la Urbanització Sa Torre.

- PARC VERD SON GALL, situat al camí del Cap Blanc, al Kilòmetre 0,700 de Llucmajor.

- PARC VERD S’ARENAL, situat a la rotonda de encreuament entre ctra.del Cap Blanc (MA-6014) a la rotonda del Km.1,950 cruella amb l’Avinguda Europa del Nucli Urbà de S’Arenal.
